Bye 2015, Hello 2016

It’s the last day of the year! Muslims have their own calender – our new year started in October – and we usually don’t celebrate a new year. But my mum (who’s actually a christian) thinks this is a nice time for a family diner and it sure is. So on the 31th of December I am always in the kitchen helping my mom with preparing the food. I love cooking!

This year, 2015, was actually a great year. I have learned a lot this year. I graduated from high school, worked hard during the first half of my gap year and focused on myself. I really wanted to find myself. I accepted my past and gave it a place in my heart and brains. No matter what you went through, it made you the person you are right now. And if you are pleased with yourself, just accept it. You will be ready to actually LIVE your life.

This was also the year I started this blog. There is still a long way to go, but I believe in myself and I know others are too. I have amazing friends who support me and I am really thankful. I hope that I can take this blog to the next level. We will see!

The entire day I hear fireworks. I am not that big of a fan of fireworks. I know that I shouldn’t think negative, but it always reminds me of people who live in a country where there is war. There are still so many people in this world who live in an unsafety area. There are people who hear this kind of sound everyday, but are afraid that this will be their last day or that they will lose a family member. Fireworks reminds me of bombs, it reminds me of war.

On this day I want to remember and pray for the people who have lost their family members or friends this year; who are living in a place of war; who have no food to eat or water to drink; who are living in a place where there is no clean water; children who have lost their parents; parents who have lost their children; for those who have no house, no electricity, no money. I pray for you all for a better future. I pray for peace. I pray for humanity.

Be thankful with what you have. Make the best of everything.

I wish you all the best.

Lots of Love,

TheTraveller
